Browsing & Buying

As a shopper, it’s easy to search by category, size, price, or occasion. You can filter by condition, bookmark your favorite items (or your favorite sellers) and. And of course, you can just search for whatever it is you're looking for.

Each listing includes:

• Photos and videos
• Description with condition, fit, and details
• Contact and delivery information

You don’t need an account to browse, but creating one lets you message sellers and bookmark your faves.

Pageant wardrobes don't come cheap — but they can pay you back.

Whether you're a seasoned contestant, a parent with outgrown gowns, or a small boutique, PageantTree lets you list your items and earn money. And we make it very simple to list an item - just upload a good photo of your item, and our AI will analyze it and pre-fill most of the information needed to list it! 60 seconds and you're done.

Platform-Mediated Transactions (Default)

All new listings automatically use platform-mediated transactions with the Buy Button enabled. This modern approach provides:

• Secure checkout — Buyers purchase directly through PageantTree with secure payment processing
• Automatic payment handling — PageantTree processes payments and holds funds in escrow until delivery
• Buyer protection — Refund requests and dispute resolution handled through the platform
• Automatic payouts — You receive 85% of the sale price directly to your Stripe Connect account
• 15% transaction fee — Covers payment processing, escrow, and platform services
• Better buyer trust — Secure transactions lead to faster sales

To receive payouts, you'll need to set up a Stripe Connect account in My Account → Payment Account. You can list items before completing Stripe verification, but payouts will be held until verification is complete.

Legacy Listings (Message-Only)

Some older listings created before the platform-mediated model was introduced may use the traditional message-only model. These legacy listings:

• Require buyers to contact you directly via messaging
• You coordinate payment (Venmo, PayPal, etc.) and shipping directly
• No transaction fees — you keep 100% of what you earn
• More manual work but full control

You can convert legacy listings to use the Buy Button from the listing edit page or your My Listings page.

Once your listing is published, it appears on our site and is searchable by shoppers. For platform-mediated listings, buyers can purchase instantly with secure checkout. For legacy message-only listings, shoppers use the built-in messaging to contact you. Don't worry - if you're not online, we'll email you whenever someone messages you, so you can reply from email or the built-in chat.
